The Defiance County 4-H Youth Development program is under the guidance of Teresa M. Johnson.  Teresa, a Defiance County native, started with Ohio State University Extension in 1996.  In her role as 4-H Youth Educator, she provides leadership to the traditional 4-H club program, youth leadership programs, school enrichment programs and summer youth opportunities including 4-H camp and summer day camp programs.

4-H is a non-formal educational, youth development program offered to individuals age 5 and in Kindergarten to age 19. Youth are involved in hands-on, experiential learning that allows learning by doing. All 4-H programs focus on active involvement and quality experiences which stimulate lifelong learning of values and skills.
